Well, as if we didn't have enough little mouths to feed around here these days, we are now the new owners of Swimmy the fish. Swimmy is a nice looking betta fish who was given to Drew last night by his cousin Isabelle who is returning to the West Coast this week. I am happy to report that he has beat the odds so far and has not yet expired during his first 24 hours of being the centerpiece on our kitchen table. We'll do our best to stave off future heartbreak, but the clock is ticking and David and I can't promise miracles here. Of course Drew is ecstatic about the aquisition, so perhaps love will conquer all and embolden Swimmy to last. Sigh...
