The boys and I are so lucky to have this man in our family. (Turtles might not feel as lucky...David's captured 2 in the past month and kept them as temporary afternoon pets.)
These summer days are family time, and I am often hit with waves of admiration for David as I overhear peals of laughter and high pitched screams coming from the other room. My fun diminishes slightly when I'm asked to hold the newest live thing they've caught in my hand, but even the icky moments are priceless.
This year we were able to celebrate Father's Day with David's family, and the boys absolutely loved having this extra time at the beach and the bay with PopPop.
